Sierra Club Backpacking Trip: Escalante Canyon &
Coyote Gulch
This was a week long backpacking trip in the south, central part of Utah
in the spring. The scenery in this primitive, remote wilderness is outstanding. This is
the nation's newest designated wilderness and contains beautiful slot canyons, plunge
pools, hanging gardens, waterfalls, red slick rock, as well as wind and water carved
natural bridges and arches, and in some places ancient petroglyphs and
pictographs.
